Los Arcos, near Mismaloya in the Bay of Banderas, is the top spot in Puerto Vallarta for diving, birds watching and snorkeling. As a national marine park reserve, Los Arcos is protected by the Mexican Government. Throughout the year, you’ll see lots of angel fish, parrot fish, puffer fish, and cornet fish in the shallow reefs.
The reef’s depth ranges from 3 to 30 feet, and the water is usually calm, providing good visibility from 15 to 50 feet year-round. Water temperatures range from 79°-86°F from June to December, and 70°-78°F from January to May.
